Photographers Part IV

Last, but not least, the third and final photographer we will meet with, Lynell Shooks, AKA, Lizzie Photo. I discovered my venue thanks in-part to Lizzie Photo. She has worked at Camp Blodgett before and taken many many beautiful photos at the venue, including the first image below. I can see a lot of elements I like in her style. Really looking forward to some great meetings and making some hard decisions.

A Laid Back Affair

I saw this fashion spread and had to share! It's filled with BEAUTIFUL laid-back, beach worthy dresses that while laid-back are still adorned with gorgeous details and lots of drama. Can't forget to mention the fabulous accessories.

Not usually a fan of beading, but L-O-V-E the bow and beading above.

One more photographer to meet later today.

Photographers Part III

The second photographer we are meeting with is Kristine Crawford. She too has a versatile style and seems to capture so many beautiful and unique shots. I know some of the best wedding photographers are men, but for some reason I have it in my head that I would relate to a woman better and that she would be more on my wavelength. Maybe that will change when I meet the three talented photogs next week. However, Kristine has never worked at our venue before, that's not a deal break, is it?

Photographers Part II

I did a lot of research on photographers, a few of my favorites were just too pricey, so in further research I narrowed down to the three awesome photographers, who we will be officially meeting next week, but will introduce to you over the next few days.

The first photographer we are meeting is Mitch Ranger. He seems to have a very versatile style, but what I like most about Mitch is his ability to capture the perfect moment and the perfect details. He has some incredibly awesome shots like these.

Photographers Part I

When we go back to Michigan in a few days we will be meeting with photographers. I definitely see this as one of the most important decisions we will make. I made sure to pad this area of the budget a little, because I want the photos to be beautiful, timeless and really capture the mood and the moments of our day.
In my research I saw a HUGE price variance, the two photographers I will introduce in the next few days are in the upper-middle of prices researched. I obviously want the "traditional" family and wedding party photos, but I hope that they come out with more personality than any old stock wedding photographer. I look forward to some artistic shots, lots of personality and hopefully, little awkwardness.

A few weeks ago Style Me Pretty did a two-part post on the world's Best Wedding Photographers, and swoon, they are gorgeous! (here and here)

Have any advice for choosing a photographer?

Whimsy

I couldn't have said it better myself. Blair over at delight by design created this inspiration board and I just fell in love with it.

Table Inspiration, Bud Vases

Not too sure if it would save money to use many little bud vases on the tables instead of a large arrangement, but I hope so, because I love the look.

Vintage, so adorable

"I love you're skirt, where'd you get it?"
"It was my mom's in the 80's."
"Vintage, so adorable." ~ Regina George, Mean Girls

Today is my second day of trying on wedding dresses (yippie!!). Since my mom can't be there, my girlfriends are accompanying me for round two. I am torn though. I intended on getting my mom's dress altered to a modern style and wearing it down the aisle. She brought her dress when she came to visit a month ago, I tried it on and it fit perfectly, except for the fact I'd have to wear flats (No!!!!!). I'm working on getting an appointment with a dress maker to discuss the overhaul. In the meantime I will be seeing what else is out there. I absolutely love the idea of wearing my mom's dress, not 100% convinced it's the right choice.

My stunning mother in 1979.

What do you think? Has anyone worn their mother or grandmother's dress?
