Dream Vendor (Amy Osaba)

If I could create a list of dream vendors, Amy Osaba floral would make it with out a doubt. I am OBSESSED with her whimsical, creative and original designs.

Sadly, we will not be hiring Mrs. Osaba for our wedding. I am not an Atlanta area bride, nor do I have a giant floral budget, actually, we have opted to tackle our table flowers on our own! But, you can bet I will use lots of Amy Osaba inspiration photos.

Impecible Honeymoon Style

Love every single, laid back, yet put-together look. Maybe her suitcase will still be packed for me to take to Italy in nine months.

I love this blog!

When I started this wedding extension of my blog, my purpose was to keep my friends, family and readers abreast with our plans. I also wanted to provide inspiration that I found as I went through the planning process. I guess I've been doing those things, but not nearly as well as I wish I had time for.

Enter Love & Lobster.

I just found this blog yesterday, but they do EXACTLY what I want to do, but so so much better.

There are thousands of wedding blogs out there, Love & Lobster probably isn't the best at showcasing real weddings, but they have those. They may not be the best at inspiration boards, but they have those too. But, they are amazing at answering the questions on bride (and grooms) minds.

Like:

While they focus on weddings in Maine, any bride can find value in browsing this blog. I'm definitely inspired!

Disco Wedding

I am a huge fan of disco balls, partly because of their cheese, but partly because they sparkle. Come on people, if this doesn't symbolize a party, what does? But disco balls don't always have to be kitschy, they can actually make great wedding decor.

Looks so cute as a ceremony backdrop.

This holiday decor could easily translate into wedding details

and my favorite, the one that's been in my files since before the engagement. Ridiculously fun!

Barbie + Ken

I couldn't resist posting these. So funny and so precious. They captured all the important shots, even the table settings!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Wedding Momentos (We hired a videographer!!!)

I am OBSESSED and so excited about the videographer we hired, Two Penny Productions. The guys already won us over with their amazing work, but Friday we met with one of the partners, Adam, who is not only insanely talented, but also very sweet. The video is now right up there with wearing my dress as one of the things I am most excited about for the big day!

This is my favorite Two Penny video. It's made me tear up at least a dozen times.

Gone to the dogs

Did you know that there's a whole leg of the wedding industry that specializes in pet-friendly weddings? I love my dog to pieces, but I'm not sure I would go as far as having her stand up in our wedding. It does make for a great photo.

This is more my speed.

What about you? Would you have man's best friend be involved in your big day.

Bridal Style (Statement Necklace)

Not so sure I'm going to go this route, but I adore these brides and their lovely statement necklaces.

Statement necklaces are a fabulous way to add a little sparkle,

a little drama,
or a little color.

I am so happy that I just bought some lovely statement earrings from etsy, that will also add sparkle, drama and color!

Bridal Style (The Veil)

There are soooo many beautiful veil choices for any bridal style. I just love this little chart describing the lengths.

(Colors of Honey)

More photos to come. Speaking of Colors of Honey. Congrats to the newlyweds, Kirby and Tyler!!!

Camp Blodgett Nuptuials

Style Me Pretty features the most stunning weddings, but I was so happy to come across a beautiful wedding at our venue, Camp Blodgett! Looking at these photos got me so excited and anxious, the big day is not as far away as it seems.

What to do?

I've always had an eye out for a fabulous, slinky, old-Hollywood, bias cut dress. Like this one, a glamorous Jean Harlow wears.

I came across this gorgeous, vintage number at one of my new favorite stores, American Rag, while on our shopping trip in LA. The dress I dreamed of would have been grey or a soft, elegant color, however the one I actually bought is a cream color. I LOVE it and I figured, "hey, I'm a bride-to-be, I can wear it for something." It's very bridal, so I can't wear it to anyone else's wedding. It could potentially be a dress I change into for my reception, but I just don't think it fits my venue or my wedding and I really want to wear my real dress as long as possible.

Sadly we're not the kind of people that get invited to a lot of balls or galas, so what's a gal to do with a beautiful, white full-length gown? Any suggestions.

Ready for Rain

After two straight days of rain in New York (and more to come), I've been thinking...I'm already praying for sunshine a year from tomorrow in West Olive, Michigan, but you bet I'll be preparing for rain. While it is a major bummer for rain on your big day (though I hear it's good luck), especially if it's an outdoor wedding, as ours is, you can definitely find a rainbow behind the clouds. Umbrellas can add personality and color, rain makes a great story, and you may just have an actual rainbow, just look at the photos below.
